Warrior Case Updates
By United American Patriots | Tuesday, April 20th, 2010
Although this is ‘old news’ to the media, this is still very current to our military and their families. Don’t let people forget that these injustices are happening on a daily basis.
For those of you that have asked for some Updates:
Chris Drotleff – he went for his bond hearing yesterday and they have decided to NO longer seeking the death penalty, but will be pursuing all charges.
Evan Vela – had a surprise clemency scheduled for April 8th. His clemency was postponed due to his area of Leavenworth being on lockdown and has not been rescheduled to our knowledge. Evan’s parole hearing is set to be heard sometime in the Fall 2010.
Corey Claggett – clemency is scheduled for June 3rd with some very hopeful leads coming to fruition
Frank Wuterich – went to pre-trial late March and was denied the motion to dismiss his charges, they did reduced the charges from murder charges to nine counts of voluntary manslaughter. The government is proceeding with his courts martial scheduled for September 13, 2010.
John Hatley – a 19 year decorated veteran had his clemency hearing scheduled for April 1st and has been denied any clemency. His appeal will hopefully be scheduled sometime in August or September.
Joseph Mayo – had his clemency hearing on April 1st and has been denied any clemency. His next opportunity for any clemency is three years from now.
Carl Bjork – Trial scheduled for May 5th.
Michael Leahy – his next clemency hearing will be set some time around December 2011
Larry Hutchins – was denied clemency and parole earlier this year.
William Hunsaker – clemency denied.
Matthew McCabe – has a trial date set for May 3, 2010
Michael Behenna – granted 5 years clemency this February and is waiting to hear the status on his appeals petition.
Justin Boyle – his motion for mistrial has been denied and his case has now entered the realm of clemency and appeals.
There are many others as most of you well know, but these are the ones questioned the most. Please write our soldiers, visit their websites to sign petitions and join their Facebook sites. You can also write letters for clemency and parole for all of our men that chose to serve and protect our freedoms. Most of all we need to get the word out that this is happening. Most people are still not aware how many of our heroes have been affected by the different limitations put in place by our government.
Thank you for your continued support,
Wendy Gumpert
