America is in crisis!

The roots of the crisis are clear to the informed American.
One fundamental cause is the ever-increasing decline in the quality of education across our land, from elementary grades through High School and into College.
President-elect Barak Obama has put forth a “general plan” (absent any specifics) that he wants the Congress to “act now” on. Included in his plan is a “…revitalization of our educational system…”
Over the course of the past fourteen months, I have visited more than 300 classrooms in more than seven states. My singular goal was to observe student attitudes towards getting a meaningful education, one that will adequately prepare them for the jobs in the 21st century.
