A military judge Friday refused to throw out Army Lt. Michael C. Behenna’s murder conviction despite an 11th-hour claim by the prosecution’s own forensic expert that the infantry officer is likely innocent.
A military court on Feb. 27 found Behenna guilty of murdering al-Qaida operative Ali Mansur Mohammed in Iraq on May 16, 2008 during a field interrogation. Behenna, 25, an infantry platoon leader in the 101st Airborne Division, maintains the shooting was in self-defense.

NYC Lawsuit Against America’s Firearms Manufacturers…(3/12/09 13:00)
Denied By U.S. Supreme Court
Fairfax, Va. – On Monday, March 9, the U.S. Supreme Court denied consideration of New York City and Washington, D.C. lawsuits, New York v. Beretta and Lawson v. Beretta, respectively, that tried to hold American gun manufacturers responsible for the acts of criminals. The Court ‘s order leaves standing a pair of decisions by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and District of Columbia Court of Appeals, both of which found that the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), enacted in 2005, prevents these types of lawsuits against lawful firearms manufacturers and dealers.
“Big city mayors conceived these lawsuits to try and litigate American gun manufacturers – who President Roosevelt referred to as “the arsenal of democracy” – out of business,” said Chris W. Cox, NRA chief lobbyist. “NRA has always believed the courts would agree with Congress that the PLCAA rightfully stops these reckless and politically motivated lawsuits.”

A Marine’s Last Will and Testament
I, an old Mud Marine, being of sound mind, do hereby create this Marine Codicil to my Last Will and Testament, through which I Bequeathed all my worldly goods and possessions to those beloved of me in Life. This Marine Codicil is to pass on the intangible gifts I received as a Marine, which were beyond the price men put upon worldly possessions.
I have attested to being of “Sound Mind.” That may be challenged by Those who think that all Marines are crazy. We have enjoyed and magnified That reputation, of course, to bemuse our friends and intimidate our Enemies. As a Navy Psychologist once told me, “The trouble with treating Marines is that if you cure them, they can’t be Marines!” But ours are Really the soundest of minds, for the life of our free society depends on Warriors. If you do away with us, our civilization commits suicide, surely The ultimate mark of insanity. If there comes a day when there is no longer a Marine Corps, the American Idea will die soon after.

The 2nd Amendment is a declaration of self determination. It has nothing to do with guns, it has to do with one’s ability to decide for themselves what form of government they will have, the ability to defend rights, property and livelihood by force if necessary. The 2nd Amendment covers more than just weapons. It covers whatever tools are necessary for self determination. The very purpose of a militia is exactly that. To defend your homes, your family, your property your ideals from threats within and without. This is America, a place where divergent ideas are supposed to be protected. The 2nd Amendment is the last resort defense of such.
The 2nd Amendment and 1st Amendment tie in closely together just as the middle amendments of the bill of rights do. The purpose is simple. To create a free and just society where every man and woman has a voice.
