About The UAP
“The death of Patriotism will begin when America chooses not to render full Final Honors to those who fought for our freedoms; our veterans.”
United American Patriots supports the Constitution of the United States, The Bill of Rights and our democratically elected form of representative government.
We also support a comprehensive “Rule of Law” with regards to illegal immigration.
This is a Family-Friendly website, suitable for the entire family.
The attack on our Homeland on September 11, 2001 was a wake-up call for all Americans . Our Armed Forces were immediately called upon to, once more, protect America. As the War on Terrorism progressed, it became very evident that, with the limited size of our Military and their ever-expanding global role, America’s Veterans were faced with the real possibility of not having the Final Honors they so richly deserved when they passed on.
Notwithstanding the superb efforts of Veterans Organizations like the VFW, American Legion and others, the demand continues to outgrow available resources. Our research quickly revealed that veterans of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam were passing on in record numbers and that our courageous men and women in our Armed Forces simply could not keep up with this demand while waging the war on terrorism. And casualties of this war are adding to the mounting need for dignified Final Honors.
During the course of the intense deliberations that lead to the establishment of United American Patriots, other issues arose that, in the aggregate, compelled this small group of patriots to move to action.
The central challenge was how to reach the millions of true patriots in America and how to encourage them to join a unified effort to address the issues that this group had identified. We had to tackle these challenges in the most efficient way.
Thus, after more than a year of research and planning, United American Patriots was forged. In March of 2005, ” UAP” obtained incorporation in the state of North Carolina and, only 90 days later, obtained a non-profit 501(c)3 status from the Internal Revenue Service.
United American Patriots then underwent a series of unsuccessful attempts to produce a world-class website that concentrated all the important aspects of our organization. Eventually, this small group of Patriots reached deep into their own pockets and contracted with a professional web design and development firm to achieve this important “center piece” of technology. The results are evident in what you see now, here within the pages of this site - and what will be forthcoming.
United American Patriots is now poised to undertake a very ambitious campaign to bring American Citizens from every state together to serve our great Nation in a variety of important ways. Our unique National Organizational structure focuses on local community service and, when circumstances require, to mobilize our membership to respond on a national level.
We believe that citizenship in America carries certain absolute duties and responsibilities.
To “Honor” our Nation’s Veterans,
To educate and inculcate “Loyalty”, “Patriotism” and “Civic Responsibility” in our citizenry,
To pull our fair share of the weight – as American citizens - in the protection of our own Homeland,
To ensure the children of our Veterans have the resources for a college education and,
To provide a well-structured and safe Firearms Safety Program to all American citizens (but with special emphasis on our youth) so that they develop a mature, respectful and responsible approach to the exercise of their Second Amendment rights.
At first take, these five objectives might appear to be disassociated from one another. But, a careful study will reveal just how closely related they are.
Collectively, they honor those who gave their lives in defense of our Nation, they offer educational support to the children of our Veterans, they address a serious void in the “citizenship” education of our youth, they help our military and first responders in defending America at home and, they offer opportunities for young (and older) Americans to safely and properly use firearms.
One particular mission (Firearms Safety and marksmanship) was deliberated at great length by the founders of United American Patriots. We recognized that the American public was clearly divided (pro-gun versus anti-gun) but the opportunity to provide America with future defenders who possess a solid ”grounding” in firearms marksmanship was the over whelming consideration; World Wars I and II did not have this “depth” of firearms-trained citizens and many casualties of both Wars were as a result of this very evident void.
Both the National Rifle Association and the Civilian Marksmanship Program (of which United Americanpatriots.org is an affiliate) were founded and organized to address this very issue. A Nation whose people can defend itself from enemies within as well as outside will continue to survive and prosper. That was the real intent of our forefathers when they carefully crafted our Second Amendment. And we clearly recognize the merit of offering Firearms Safety and Marksmanship programs to the youth of America. This, however, does not exclude “older” American citizens who wish to participate.
Thus, this is what we, as United American Patriots, are all about. We recognize that these virtues will, in a very real sense, dictate what kind of political leaders we will elect in the years ahead…and what sort of America we will leave to our children and grandchildren.
“Freedom is not free” as the saying goes. We hope you feel the same way and will join us in this noble and worthwhile undertaking.
Lastly, please permit a comment about our daily “quotes” which you will see on our main page. Each day that you visit us, the quote will change. The “theme” of these quotes provides a good insight into the hearts and minds of our Founding Fathers and others who have worked so ardously to develop this great nation of ours, often at the expense of their own fortunes and very lives.
Throughout, you will see the grave concerns these men had about too much government power. And, you will read of their concerns that the citizens of America ought to be free to bear arms, as the protectors of our Nation from not only enemies from without, but more importantly, enemies from within.
Whether you agree or not with the sentiments behind any of these quotes, the freedom to express one’s beliefs and opinions is one of our most cherished rights under our Constitution.
United American Patriots, through its educational programs and resources, will work diligently to ensure our citizens – particularly our youth - are inculcated with the same love of country (“Patriotism”) and civic responsibility as evidenced by these quotes. We make no apologies for this approach. The future of our beloved Nation is in the hands of our youth…and they need to have all the tools possible at their disposal to become the stewards of our Constitutional way of life. All else is of no appreciable significance. We are doing our part.
