The Health of the U.S. Is Affected When English Is Not the Official Language

By ProEnglishUSA | Monday, July 26th, 2010

In my opinion, the same argument can be said about the linguistic health of our country.

When immigrants are not encouraged to learn and use English when conducting official government business, the dangers and ramifications are too great a risk.

Allowing translations and translated documents to permeate in city halls, government agencies poses a threat to the ability of government to function in an effective and cohesive manner.

Although the immediate perception of offering translations “appear” to be good-intentioned, the long-term effect is that the incentive to learn English is diminished, eroded, essentially delayed and the reliance by an immigrant on government’s help and interaction becomes life-threatening.

Congress, states and local government bodies must enact English as the official language to preserve the health of our country. (continue reading…)

Supporting Candidates for Tennessee House of Representatives

By ProEnglishUSA | Thursday, July 15th, 2010

These candidates for the Tennessee House of Representatives have pledged to support the English language as Tennessee’s official language pursuant to the 1984 Tennessee state law and to support English as the sole language for the Tennessee driver’s license exam for all permanent legal residents.

The exam must be administered in English to save in excess of $ 300,000 of taxpayer dollars, to ensure all motorists can effectively communicate with each other and emergency personnel and to encourage all legal immigrants to learn English.

No government body or person shall be responsible to fund translations, interpreters in the United States of America. It is a simple matter of self-responsibility and independence to utilize God’s gift for one’s survival.

Flag of the United States of America Flown For Me

By ProEnglishUSA | Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

In the name of God and by ALL that He touches, I will NOT tolerate, allow or condone someone to question my heritage or ethnicity because of my love for the United States of America!!!

Because I stand up and say PROUDLY and LOUDLY that all people seeking refuge, prosperity and freedom in the United States of America should make every personal effort, despite pains, struggles or tears to learn English does not erase my identity.

I will always defend this country for she gave my parents and I new hope.

It’s amazing the levels (low) that people who oppose the English language and oppose encouraging immigrants to learn English will go.

This John Lamb decided to launch a smear campaign against me, as a Hispanic because I support and stand up for the English language.

Guess what, John, you, Gregg Ramos, or all immigrant groups will not deter me in my mission to ensure that immigrants see through the clouds and smoke and mirrors that your groups put up so that immigrants will understand that learning English is their key to success.
